•15 days from receiving the item to return the merchandise for a refund (less any shipping charges).
•Another 15 days (30 days from receiving item) to return for store credit.
•No Blackout Dates

We inspect every return thoroughly. Item being returned must be in NEW condition with the original packaging also in new condition and include all of the pieces. Please do not return something that show signs of perfume, tobacco or signs of hair, stains or lint on the material, or altered or used in anyway. You can't receive a refund for that item. Items sent with Free Super Saver Shipping, the savings associated with the returned item(s) will be deducted from the amount of your merchandise refund.

Item(s) NOT returnable:
• Any item(s) in sealed original packaging that have been opened
• Original packaging that's missing or damaged
• Items that have been worn, used or altered
• Party Supplies
• Special Order Items and Mascots
• Large prop items that require special form of delivery
• Party Kits
• Disposable Helium Tanks
• Clearance Items
• *Undergarments of any type (tights, petticoats, bloomers, etc.)
• *Socks and Stockings
• *Masks and Costume Accessories
• *Cosmetics
• *Shoes and Boots
• *CD’s and DVD’s
• *Wigs, Beards, Facial Hair or Any Type of Artificial Hair
• *Prosthetics, Fangs or Any Type of Fake Teeth

*We will accept returns on these types of merchandise if it remains sealed in its original packaging, but not if sold in a snap closure package, box or bag.

Keep in mind that there may be a minimum 15% restocking fee for returned items that do not meet our normal return guidelines. There is a minimum 15% restocking fee if more than five of one item is ordered and returned. Packages refused or missed for whatever reason and therefore immediately shipped back to us, or the package is undeliverable as addressed, you are responsible for the return shipping charge and restocking fee. A return shipping charge starting at $7.00 for the shipping carrier returning the package back to us and a 15% restocking fee will be deducted from your merchandise refund the day the item arrives back in our warehouse.

Return / Exchange Instructions:

Simply download and complete the Return Merchandise Form (PDF-245kb). Package the items securely and include the form along with a copy of the original invoice, and send it prepaid and insured to:

The cost of shipping the item(s) back to Costume Basement is at the customer’s expense and we will pay or credit back the replacement-shipping fee (only to the 48 contiguous United States).

Any merchandise returned that do not meet the conditions stated above will not be issued a refund and the merchandise will be donated to charity.
